We’re at Posada Mawimbi

Yesterday’s drive from Merida, Yucatan to Isla Holbox, Quintana Roo was smooth and uneventful. We stopped for lunch in Tizimin which is a very nice small city. We didn’t actually drive to Isla Holbox, we had to take a ferry. An “isla” is an island.

This place is great. I think we’ve found our new favorite vacation spot for Mexico. We’re staying at Posada Mawimbi (www.mawimbi.net) and they have high-speed wireless internet access here. We’re able to work just like we’re at home. It’s a luxury but certainly helps alleviate some of the stress associated with being self-employed and on vacation.

One of us forgot our dresses and a pair of shoes at the B&B in Merida. I won’t mention any names to protect the innocent (?) ;) . we’ll have to figure out how we’re going to deal with that situation. Once of the dresses left behind was a wedding dress. We’ll figure it out.

Time to post a bunch of pictures from our travels….
