Spring is almost here. After a week of sunny days with temperatures in the high 60s and low 70s we still have plenty of snow in the yard.
The photo above and the one below are the snow piles that are left from plowing all winter long. I think they will be around for another week or two at least.

It’s hard to tell from this picture of the driveway but there’s still quite a bit of snow in the woods. We still can’t walk the dogs on the woods loop. The snow is too deep, even with snowshoes.

Here’s the back yard. It’s mostly clear of snow now. There’s a few sections that are swampy.

Thankfully, the septic problems are over. I don’t know what caused the clog just before the tank. I cleared it up right after my trip to Vegas by running a hose with hot water down the main line clean out pipe. I thought everything was fixed until a week later it was plugged up again. We bought a 50 foot pipe snake and got the problem taken care of hopefully for good this time.
I haven’t had much time to update this site lately. I’ve been crazy busy trying to get the Land Cruiser ready for our trip. The aluminum tubing I’ve been waiting on to build the roof rack should be delivered tomorrow. I’m going to be busy setting that up for the next couple of days. I’m looking forward to it. I haven’t done any decent metal fabrication work in a while. I’ve never built something this large from aluminum but I think I can handle it with a little practice. I’ll try to post pictures of my progress.
