We spent an extra day in Hartford trying to get the windows tinted in the back of the cruiser. It didn’t work out.
On our drive down from Maine to Connecticut the dogs seemed a little hot in the back of the Cruiser. The little wing windows in the back don’t allow much airflow. I thought tinting the windows would help, especially when we’re out in Moab and other desert areas of the trip.
I’m often amazed at how stupid people are able to run successful businesses. We stopped at two window tinting shops today. Neither were able to handle the Cruiser. It’s too tall to fit in the garage bays of either place.
We didn’t think to ask about the door height when we made the appointment at the first place. Their shop was in the back of a house in a two-car residential garage space. A seven foot door isn’t even close. So we made an appointment at another shop.
When we made the second appointment we explained it was a tall vehicle with a roof rack and it would need a ten foot door. “Sure, no problem” was the reply. Stupid, stupid people. I can’t believe the “manager” doesn’t know the difference between an eight foot door and a ten foot tall garage door. It’s really frustrating wasting time on idiots.
I may try to tint a couple of windows myself instead.
